Welcome to Arvida Good Friends Go, a private on-demand ride sharing transport service operated by Good Friends (2020) Limited (we, us, our) for Arvida Good Friends members.
As a member you can use the Arvida Good Friends Go app (the App), or call us, to request, manage and pay for rides from us (the Service).
The following terms and conditions apply to your use of the Service and the App:
Take a moment to read these Terms. Details of how the Service works, how to set up your account on the App and frequently asked questions are set out on our website at www.goodfriends.co.nz and www.goodfriendsgo.co.nz.
If you require special assistance (e.g. if you need a wheelchair accessible vehicle or if you have an assistance animal) you must record this in your Booking.
Subject to availability, you may place a Booking for up to three passengers. If you arrive at the pick-up location with fewer passengers than confirmed in your Booking you will still be charged for the number of passengers recorded in your Booking.
The Service is available on the days and at the times set out on our website. However, you can make a Booking at any time through our App.
Check out our website to see what areas our Service operates in (the Service Area). You can only be transported to and from destinations in a designated Service Area.
Pick-up and drop-off times may vary. We will endeavour to pick you up and drop you off at the requested times. But we give no guarantee that a ride will start at, or be completed at, the scheduled times. You can use the App to keep up to date on vehicle arrival times.
You may be sharing your ride with other members. Sometimes our vehicle may be full. Other times you may be the only passenger. You must arrive when expected so you don’t hold up a ride for others. We recommend you arrive at the pick-up location 5 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.
When you use the Service you must also comply with our conditions of carriage. These conditions cover matters such as your behaviour on our vehicles, use of seat belts, luggage restrictions, use of wheelchairs and use of assistance animals. These conditions are available on www.goodfriendsgo.co.nz and may be updated by us from time to time. If you do not comply with these conditions, we may restrict you from using the App or the Service.
You may elect to pay for the Service in either of two ways:

As with all Arvida Good Friends membership charges, you are responsible for any merchant surcharges for credit, debit or other payment cards incurred in processing your payment. There is no charge for secure direct debit authorised from your bank account.
We may charge you cleaning and repair fees for any damage or soiling you or your passengers cause to our vehicles (other than fair wear and tear).
Our total liability to you in connection with these Terms, the Membership Terms, the Service or the App for the Service is limited to an amount equal to two times the membership fees you paid us in the previous 12 months. This limit applies regardless of the legal basis of our liability.
The only promises we give you are those set out in the Terms or on our website. We call these ‘warranties and representations’. We don’t give you any other warranties or representations including regarding the availability or reliability of the Service or the App. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, except to the extent permitted by that Act.
We may end your use of the Service and the App at any time on 30 days’ notice to you or when you cease to be an Arvida Good Friends member. We may also end or suspend your use of the Service and the App by notice to you if you materially breach these Terms or the Membership Terms.
You must comply with all of our policies and reasonable instructions when using the Service (including any policies or instructions relating to Covid-19 or other health and safety matters).
Subject to paragraph 17 (When we can end or suspend your use of the Service and/or App:) , you have a non-exclusive licence to use the App for the term of your Membership. But you do not own or have any intellectual property rights in our App, the Service or our information. You must not copy, modify, reproduce, republish or sell this intellectual property.
You must not share your App account details with anyone else.
All personal items stored and carried are at your own risk and are your responsibility. Items left in our vehicles will be dealt with in accordance with any policy on our website. Please contact us if you left something in one of our vehicles.
You agree to us contacting you by telephone, call, email or text message or by posting a notice on our App in relation to your use of the Service or the App.
You agree to receive communications electronically. This includes where anything is required to be delivered to you in writing. Any agreement reached through electronic communications is binding on you and us.
The privacy provisions in our Membership Terms apply to your use of the Service and the App.
